If Char were the main character. Then Gundam would be like Code Geass but with much more cool looking robots.

I just finished Valvrave the Liberator and IMO, it was awesome.

The characters are genuinely likable and interesting, the story is greatly entertaining, and has many memorable moments.

As someone who never saw the original series and always watches dubs, you have 10 seconds to explain why the Rebuild movies were objectively bad in detail.

(Please don't come here with Turn A, because turn A isn't UC, and also Turn A is from a far far far away future. We don't know yet what tech will come from a far far far away future on Macross, but I bet it will own Turn A).

VF-1 vs RX-78.

VF-1 is much faster, the reactor is much more poweful. Gundam reactors are lame, even a modern Tank like the M1 Abrams isn't that far from a "Minovisk reactor".

VF-25 vs anything gundam is just unfair.
The acceleration is so much more.
VF-25 has pinpoint barrier. Gundams can't do anything against them.

Also the mass production in Macross is on another level. Anything Gundam barely goes beyond 5 units. They always fail at doing anything MP, it is always too expensive too build.

Comparing battleships is very unfair.
Macross battleships are huge, more than 1km large.
While Gundam battleships have the size of Macross frigates.
