Bellri and co are not really part of any just trying to figure out what is happening. Bellri's Mum is still with Capital, she was just seeing what was going on. Those few guards joined the Megafauna as the capital guard working with them.

The Capital Guard is loyal to Bellri's mom. That's why they helped the Megafauna the last episode.

Neither Capital nor Ameria are really the good guys. They're just two factions with their own goals at this point.

That's why we had all of the ridiculous parades every time Capital Army got a new suit and ominous music was playing in every scene Episode 11 had where the sides were gearing up for war. Since there's been no bloodshed in a long time it's sort of like things were before WWI, all pageantry and glorious rhetoric before the slaughter

I'm with you man, I think this show is great. If you look at it superficially it's trash, but if you let yourself look a little deeper it does a really good job of character development and building up plot elements. This is show is legimately good, it's so much better than SEED and Destiny.

Even the lesbian sex scenes provide character development. If I hadn't seen it I wouldn't have believed it.

Because it has a decent couple of episodes, then thirty pass where jack shit happens, with it only getting interesting when they reach the moon and Gym is introduced. On top of all that, Loran is just an unlikeable protagonist - he's more perfect than Jesus Yamato. He has the strongest mobile suit in the franchise, he's never wrong about anything, and he always wins every battle with a single exception.

Back in the days when B-Club magazine still existed, they would do issues with really comprehensive articles. One of the best was an issue which highlighted the DRILL as an /m/ weapon. Sadly, that issue came out before TTGL existed. Le sigh.

This sounds stupid as a criticism for TTGL, but the second movie suffers heavily from trying to be too "epic".

Granted, there is some cause for this since it's in a cinema but not on TV, almost every change is built around GOTTA MAKE MORE EPIC rather than improving on the TV series.
