Are the Robotech books worth it? I've seen a few in some used book stores and my curiosity peaked enough for me to get a few. I'm initially cautious about reading a book based off a cartoon, which was a loose dub of three completely unrelated anime series, but damn I'm just so hungry for more Robotech stuff. Has anyone here read them?

So I started watching Zeta gundam today and I'm up to episode 9.

Is everyone in this show an asshole? I thought Kamiel was a bit of a shit at first but really he's not even that bad (though I have the feeling he may legitimately have some level of autism, not just what the internet is calling autism).

Seriously everybody is just sort of hanging out with one of the guys funding AUEG and Kamiel shows up and the guy just starts beating the shit out of Kamiel because he's late or something. Meanwhile everybody else slinks off and Kamiel is the only person who thinks this guy is acting insane. It's not even that unique, everybody seems to just love hitting Kamiel.

Hell this is just the good guys, I could talk all day about the asshole parade that the Titans are shaping up to be (the big wigs mostly but even Jared is an inconsistent asshat and I think I'm supposed to be sympathizing with him)

Am I alone in this?

Favourite Mass-Produced Mech.

I love the Leo. It's a nice change from the overused ZAKU design. Also it's got a nice military look and real robot feel to it.

Wing was also my first major step into Gundam, too, and I've always had a thing for the villains.

Everyone seems to think this guy is a monster but I think it's all just a lie from earth scum. He's misunderstood at best and was only fighting for his people. Also the destruction of neutral colonies never fucking happened and the colony drop was a fucking inside job you brain dead fedie sheeple

What would an African built Mecha look like?

Yo /m/, I discovered a bunch of PC games from Kogado Studios in my old HD and I figured that since these games are probably lost to the internet, I might as well do my part in dumping the ones I have.

(Didn't realize I had them because I wasn't very much a big Mecha fan in the past)

Also since I'm guessing there's probably not going to be many people who have played these, discuss other /m/ PC games if you want?

This isn't the English localized version by MegaTech, it's the 2009 remake and the last proper installment of the series before it went onto life support as a Web Browser game.

If you don't know anything about the series, it's a turn-based Strategy game that's pretty hardcore. On the scale of complexity it leans more towards X-Com and BattleTech than SRW. Features a bunch of customization and is one of the few strategy mecha games that actually tries to implement Combined Arms with Artillery and Air Support.

If you're not fluent in Japanese you probably won't get much out of the series since this was designed in an era where tutorials and learning curves doesn't really exist, but if you're looking for something meaty, here you go.
