Am I the only one here has never liked Nagano's post L-Gaim designs (not including Gundam)? I don't know why everyone here on /m/ bandwagons them so much. I loved the L-Gaim designs because of how much personality they displayed despite the rudimentary nature of the designs. Everything he's made since then looks like the ugly, over-designed CGI shit we get these days from shows like Valvrave and The Fool. The only difference is that his is hand-drawn. His FSS stuff in particular is all a hideous attempt to make overly-ornate knight mecha with little attention to proper shapes, unlike other knight-like designs like Dunbine. In fact, what they really remind me of are those disgusting, clusterfuck Bayformers. I don't understand how anyone can tolerate his designs when they look like they were drawn with the tastes of a five-year old. Please tell me, what is the appeal of his designs?
