Hey I wanted to share some info on upcoming kaiju films that I was made privy too!

1) Toho is currently making studio space to film a traditional, practical kaiju film that is specifically for Netflix. This is coming out late next year.

2) Shusuke Kaneko is in early-pre production for a Reiwa Gamera film. This could still not happen.

3) Toho is preparing a domestic, big-budget Godzilla film for 2023. Takashi Yamazaki and Takashi Miike were both interviewed. Miike apparently almost got the job for Godzilla Final Wars. Both of these guys have experience directing high-budget anime adaptations.

My guess is that they probably will go with Yamazaki, but Miike's international appeal is tantalizing after Anno and Shin Godzilla's success.

That's all I know.

4chan strips EXIF data from images when they're uploaded to the site from your phone, including the orientation display tag. To fix this, save your images separately, or use an app that will rotate and save the images for you.
