Please for the love of all that is ideon, do not talk about the next mutation. The only remotely/m/ thing about this show wasn't even an actual episode from the show, but rather a crossover episode of power rangers in space that had them as guest stars, and THAT was the only memorable thing from that show at all.

What makes me put the Hardygun over other GM types are the chest and wrist guns. Those two design features, IMO make a more balanced complete look.

Urobuchi didn't create any of the characters and the original series was based on the gimmick of Votoms meets The Five Star Stories, it would have been just monster of the week of a squad of small robots beating a huge robot with tactics.

The first 3 episodes actually showcase this somewhat before Inaho becomes a mary sue who can take on enemies on his own.
But if Aoki didn't ask for Urobuchi to add the hackneyed plot elements, it would have probably not been that popular at all.
