I never thought I'd say this - not in a million years - but it's true. I fucking hate this show.

I love ponies, I love Equestria, I love the characters, but I hate the show.

Specifically - I hate what this show became. I hate how the writers shit all over Equestria and the characters. I hate how they constantly fucked with things just to make a new toy or because they were too lazy to keep the world consistent.

It's absolutely baffling to me how fanfiction writers write better stories and are more competent than the "official" writers that worked on the show.

I was pretty depressed after watching the last two seasons and how terrible they were, but then I read some fanfiction and I quickly got over it.

I can't watch the show anymore. The show is what got us all together, but it's not what's going to keep us together. The show is shit. The first 3-4 seasons were pretty good for a little girl's cartoon, but let's face it, that's what it is - a little girl's cartoon.

What makes me like ponies isn't the stupid ass show, but the very idea of ponies, Equestria, the lore, etc. It's so unique and gives us an amazing world to play with. It's unfathomable to me how the creators couldn't do better with the amazing world and lore they were given, but who gives a shit? The very *idea* of Equestria and the characters is what will allow us to move forward, not what happened in a show that will soon be long dead.

Howdy, partner!

What you see here began as a series of comedy-centric stories with the concept of an alicorn-ascended Princess Applejack trying to change a mismanaged Equestria for the better by humorously interacting with the other, quite lazy, princesses. Plus late night pink antics.

Not to mention a whole bunch of Changelings with nothing better to do but cause mischief.


The whole thing was set in motion by this gem:
