>>35006621If, for instance, there was an image depicting a white coded pony in a scenario merely reminiscent of slavery with some black coded zebras, that would be considered racism despite the fact that it makes no statement as to how good or bad slavery is or how deserving of respect the black coded characters are or how superior any of the characters are. This is because, by simply reminding people of the existence of the cultural symbols of "slave" "slave master" and "plantation" it reinforces associations. The strengthening of the cultural memory that black people were ever slaves and the presentation of these stereotypes keeps those stereotypes alive, which therefore can be argued to disadvantage black people by feeding both the black victim complex and narrative and the white superiority and oppressor complexes. Thus, it can be interpreted as an action taken directly against the black, which has been redefined as racism.
After a certain point, you find yourself arguing that history should be erased so that true equality may be attained, and that any action short of that is just irresponsibility in favor of a less equal world, and is therefore a form of racist policy designed to defend the opression dynamic.
