People don't like s3 finale because we were there when it happened live.
Right now people can just binge watch all the seasons and rush their opnions. Back then we had one episode per week and in conbinations in hiatuses we had a LOT of time to let the dust settle.
Each episode we had a whole week to take it in, to form opinions, develop these characters and to understand them more in depth up to that point. We were growing with the character and so that led us to really care about their destiny.
Twi back then had a very much different fate and life path that we anons idealized from the previous seasons. That is, at least for me, the reason of why anons felt so angry for the 180 the character did.
You may not feel the same way, you couldn't anyways. You had to watch only 1 episode every week and take long periods of time between seasons to have a similar perspective the old anons had, and even then it wouldn't be the same because even on hiatus, we were discussing the show every single day.
