I don't think anyone saved his works at all, even after a thinly veined warning he gave in the Textures thread in ZDF. Being completely honest, though, nothing of important value was lost.

Anyway, he had to be stopped. He was messing with things beyond his control and it was for the best of everyone.

Is it a good show? I don't think so.
I like their effort, but that humor, those shirts and goofy looks... It's not like they are playing characters who are goofy, they look too natural for that. But since I always skip their intros and dialogue, they do good work on their videos.

The Blood thread has some discussion about smoking pot and playing games, lots of people in there seem to enjoy it. I enjoy it. The one and only genre of games that I play but I don't enjoy while smoking weed is racing games. They require a level of prolonged focus that just kills my buzz.

I was a pretty heavy hallucinogen user back in the late 90s. Goddamn were Panzer Dragoon Saga and Ocarina of Time awesome.

There's some truth to what you're saying. If you have a good enough understanding of the hardware and whatever bastardization of assembly language this thing uses, there's no reason you couldn't get something that vaguely resembles Mario running on it.

However, before any of that can happen, we need to understand the hardware well enough that we can build a semi-functional emulator. That shit can be expensive because you need someone with a ton of experience who can decode the hardware at a microscopic level. But if someone wants to start a Kickstarter, I'd gladly put my money into it.

LJN went defunct in '95. If we haven't gotten such a thing by now, it's most likely sitting in a landfill somewhere.

You still need to find someone experienced with computers from that era, and they're going to be few and far between, especially for a console as rare and obscure as this one. Seriously, I can't find even a single listing on eBay. Although, now that AVGN has brought it into public consciousness someone may be a little more willing to do it.

If you're male, why do you choose to play as the girl character in Pokemob Crystal? Maybe I'm just full blown autist here, but I cannot play as the girl character simply on the merit that I'm a guy.

This is a serious question, I'm not trolling or saying that choosing the girl character is wrong. There are plenty of games where the protagonist is female by default. It just seems odd to me that you'd choose a character of the opposite sex when you're given the choice. Am I wrong? What drives you to select the opposite sex character when you have the option of playing as a character of your own gender?

Gender selection becomes more common beyond the /vr/ era, and more and more I see guys opting to choose the female character. I'm just genuinely confused, and I feel like I'll get the most respectful discourse on /vr/. So to stay on topic, let's stick with Pokemon Crystal for the example.
