From that moment on we have both left wing and right wing peronists.

he fucked the country for good, we just needed to be mediocre to be a first world country, but we were a complete disaster instead.

Dads side; ancestor came from Romania to settle in czars Russia Ukraine,grand grandpa born there and moved to Moldova where he fought in world war 1 and Russian civil war on the side of royalists and was shot twice,grandpa born there amd moved to Kazakhstan the Uzbekistan where he met my grandma who's ancestors came from belarus,Ukraine and Poland and sent to Siberia where she was born,during ww2 they moved to Uzbekistan where she met my grandpa they where both 4th and 3rd generation Baptists in a muslim country with communist government yet they where able to get education and really good jobs as my grandpa was telling me he was making In a month what most people didnt make in a year. So yea that's the stories nu grandparents told me and btw even though we have so many blood mixed we still consider ourselves Russian and dont know any other languages except me I know English too.

My grandfather went for mandatory military service during the civil war in Greece.
There was a guy with them that just wouldn't die. He would run towards the enemy, survive through ambushes, etc. He died when he tripped on a rock while crossing a shallow river and drowned.
My grandfather also survived an ambush while picking up his fallen cigarette, avoiding a shot to his upper body, when the shooting started. Quite lucky as well, although he almost lost a finger from the hand he used to lean on the tree he was at the moment.

And a story about my other grandmother. When the Germans came into her village, something was wrong and they were searching for her brother. I don't remember where he was hiding, but they used a sword and stabbed through their wine barrels, thinking he was in one of them.

The sight may not have any evidence of pagan worship, but there were monks living there as far back as the 10th and 11th centuries and they seem to have gone out of their way to "christianise" it by carving a large relief of the crucificiton, something you'd only expect them to do if there was in fact some heathen heresy associated with the area that they wanted to stamp out...maybe even some medeval wannabe repaganisation or lingering tradition (just my personal speculation).

Regardless of how pagan the Stones may have been in the past, people are so eager to feel or roleplay some sort of spiritualism there that you'll find runes carved into the stones and trees and actual neo pagans celebrate annual festivals there, which poses the question how long something has to be treated as a sight of religious worship before it actually becomes one based entirely on its modern mythology.
