Camo discussion thread? Camo discussion thread.

Is the US4CES line of camo an improvement over any modern camo patterns?
Obviously, UCP was an utter failure unless you're operating operationally in a gravel pit.
But what about Multicam? MARPAT, desert or woodland?

Today was a good day...

I have a story for you fellow /k/ommandos...

>Went to the range with a buddy to pop off a few rounds.
>It's an indoor range but the AC wasn't keeping up because it's hot as fuck and the humidity was like walking in a shower.
>Glasses were fogging up hence not scoring too well, hence I'm losing my patience.
>Take a step back to re-collect myself.
>Notice 3 kids (can't be older than 18 and a half) in the next lane with rented AR having problems.
>One asks for help and I gladly assist because I don't want them to get hurt or do something stupid.
>Ask how familiar they are with the AR platform, they reply it's their first time.
>Fix their problem and instruct on how it works.
>One looks like being left out of the fun.
>I ask if he has had a go at it yet, he said no - he never fired a gun before.
>I asked if he would like to fire mine for a couple of rounds.
>Big grin on his face as he said sure.
>I instructed him how to but the butt in the pocket as well as how to load and charge it, and how the safety worked.
>He fired five rounds, 2 hitting the target, not bad for a first timer.
>The look on his face and the spark in his eye was like the first time a boy becomes a man.
>He thanked me as his friends were packing up because they ran out of ammo.

Personally I feel I did a good deed today,

Broken "Heirloom"

No.17052882 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
My first weapon ever, a 16 gauge Revelation Arms aka Western Auto Supply Co. pump that originally featured a 28 inch barrel, 2 3/4 "C-Lect Choke" but was cut to approx. 18" inches by an unknown owner.

The rifle was owned by my grandfather who always had it by his bedside when I was growing up. It was the first firearm I ever touched and used in my life and it was always there by his bedside.

When I was about 16, he became sick and he had to move into an assisted living home where he couldn't own weapons, so he gave it to me and told me to take care of it, because he knew how much I loved it growing up..

I was so incredibly grateful to be given the shotgun I had loved for so long it was seriously a moment i'll remember for the rest of my life.

A great shooter, very low recoil and if you can find or load your own buck it'd probably make a great home defense gun, or learner shotgun.

This is ideally what I would like to pass on to my son as a first rifle.

Unfortunately for me, today it happened to take a retarded sperglord fall out of my truck due sperglord friend, and the stock fucking cracked where it meets the receiver. Two cracks, one on each side about an inch or so long. I can see the screw or whatever holds the stock to the receiver (I have never taken the stock off).

Needless to say I am fucking devastated.

I dont want to shoot the gun for fear of breaking it, and I lack the tools to properly do anything in regards of fixing it. I called a local gunsmith he told me to bring it in. Either they could fix it by filling the crack with a type of epoxy and binding it (which he mentioned I could probably do myself without much difficulty) or he they could try and find a replacement.

I personally think finding a replacement would be rather difficult as the company has been out of business for quite some time. However I hear Revelation Arms turned into Mossberg so there could be some compatibility, not sure.

What should I do /k/ please help a /k/ommando out

No poorfags allowed.

Your weapon must cost at least $2000 to post.
