>>16702949Or a Rhodie bandanna/go-to-hell rag. Or a Rhodie shemagh. Maybe even an M65 field jacket in Rhodie?
Looking at the pattern and some of the pictures, it occurs to me you could make reversible gear.
Side A has a pale mint-green background and is printed over in hunter green and olive drab. This is the "Spring/Summer" side. Side B is standard Rhodie, to be used in Autumn/Arid/Desert conditions.
The Rhodesian pattern fascinates me. It seems to contain at least some actual leaf shapes, with blank/unprinted streaks and zigzag shapes within them, to simulate light reflected from the upper surfaces of the leaves. It is both disruptive and mimetic.
I don't know if it's THE camo pattern for everyone everywhere. I know every time the Big Army changes its minds about camo, they announce tests in which whatever they decided to go with was pronounced the best. ("Plain olive drab is superior to the spotted camouflage pattern... which we are only issuing to paras and Rangers, because it's inferior." "The Environmental Research Defense Lab proved scientifically that this new pattern, which we will call 'Woodland,' is the best possible camouflage for all purposes." "The digital camouflage technology of the new ACS camouflage makes it vastly superior to 'Woodland.'" "Our tests prove that Multicam(tm) is superior to ACS under all conditions." and on and on. My guess is the next Big Thing will be Multicam's colors and distribution patterns, but digitized, so as to screw Crye Research out of their royalties)
Anyway. I'm just thinking out loud here.
