You should not be allowed to possess a firearm.

Only law enforcement should be armed. You are just a civilian. Like all civilians, you are incompetent. Society can not trust you with the responsibility possessing a fire arm requires. If civilians were competent, they would not require legal representation when they appear before a judge in court. In such a circumstance, the mere presence of an attorney standing next to you is in essence a declaration to the state that you are unfit to represent yourself because you don't know the law.

If you own a firearm you are a danger to society. Your firearms should be confiscated. All of them, including hunting rifles. We all know the reason you want to keep them. You think that you are the last line of defense against tyranny. A minute-man, wannabe. But you aren't. You talk like you're all big and tough but we all know that when the cops come knocking on your door to confiscate your weapons, you are going to punk out, lay down and let them take them.

Unless of course you're stupid, and actually resist twenty to thirty, badge-carrying Iraq war veterans armed to the teeth.

if all legally owned guns were removed, only a limited number of criminals would have them.

ergo 10k gun related deaths would turn into a tiny fraction of that.

how can any civilized and intelligent person ever be against that?

the second amendment was written during a time of constant threat from another nation, when we didn't have a standing army to protect us, and when worldwide communication wasn't ubiquitous.

how is it that the anachronism of gun ownership is still allowed?

Knife attack in Chinese elementary school, injures 22 students and one elderly woman.

Thoughts?

Maybe if all the teachers carried a knife this tragedy wouldn't have evolved like it did

hey /k/, i don't usually browse /k/, but i need your help, you see i got this rifle, a kar98k i think, from 1936, used during ww2, used by norwegian army after ww2, bought from the army by my grandfather in the 70s i think.

I would like to know if it's worth anything, just for fun, but i have no clue when it comes to figuring out the price of something like this.
I'm not planning on selling it, since it's an heirloom, and also, i think it's a beautiful weapon.

i'll post 5 pictures of it.

Ok /k/, i've been wondering, could a company buy the blueprints and machinery for, lets say a Tigr or a SVD from Izhmash, and produce said firearms here in the states? (sort of like how PTR is able to make licensed hk91 clones.)
