I don't care about the realism or the PC stuff or anything. I just disliked BF1 because it felt so limiting compared to previous games in the series. I feel like you had a lot more freedom to play the way you wanted in BF4, both because of the customization options and because the weapons were so much more versatile. Gunplay was so much more satisfying, with guns effective over a much wider range and more kills possible with a single magazine, so a good player could be pretty much unstoppable. In BF1 you're pretty much stuck to whatever niche your class is intended for and you're fucked if you run into a class that plays against your weaknesses. There's also a major shift in the balance of power from guns to gadgets and grenades, and way too many things that can instakill you with no warning and no means of fighting back. (Mortars, certain vehicles, etc.) It all leads to BF1 being a very limiting and frustrating experience compared to previous BFs.
