You can OC any gun to and from a gun shop/range.
No safe requirements except for bolts of FA guns.
Denying people of certain nationalities guns is because immigrants from civil war-torn countries used to buy guns here, then ship them to their home country.
There's CAS, IPSC and other matches here, as well as organized MG shoots and private gun ranges you can shoot pretty much anything on. The whole "as exciting as collecting stamps" line is total bull.
As for not being able to shoot on public land, that's mostly because you can't throw a rock without hitting a cow/house/mountain here.
On the other hand, we don't have barrel length/total length/magazine size/evil feature/number of guns limits, everything except for FAs, converted FAs, explosives and some other stuff can be obtained with shall-issue permits. The whole "not being allowed to store ammo at home" thing is also wrong, as that concerns only ordonnance ammo (as in, the exact ammo used by the Swiss Army; e.g. Swiss ordonnance 9x19mm can't be stored at home, Geco/S&B/whatever is just fine).
