ever play a game where you tell yourself it's good, but it left a sour taste in your mouth?
for me, it's Paper Mario. don't get me wrong, there's a LOT of good there. but I just constantly felt the gameplay was underwhelming. the combat is sluggish, the exploration is one-dimensional, the dialogue is childish even for big N standards. it's a 7/10 game that gets away with it because of fun content. I subtly hate myself for playing it to the end. it just wasn't fulfilling as an RPG.
is TTYD much or any better? I read that it's one big QoL, but many seem to rate it same or lower than PM.
